Second Indoor Training Session

Our second winter training session begins Tuesday, December 20th and Wednesday, December 21st with training again being in the gymnasium at Monee Elementary School located at 25425 Will Center Road in Monee. This will be a 13 week session with the last trainings taking place the week of March 27th. Parents of players 4 years to 6 years of age will train on Tuesdays from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Players aged 7 to 12 will train on Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Children should come dressed for soccer wearing flat soled shoes, shinguards and t-shirts and bring their own soccer ball and water.

The fee for this thirteen week session is $225 for Tuesdays and $243 for Wednesdays. There will not be training on Tuesday, February 21st. Please pay this fee as soon as possible to secure your child’s spot as space is limited. We offer a sibling discount to those families with more than one child training. I am very encouraged by the progress both age groups are making, however I have decided that we will create two teams for Spring 2012 outdoor soccer at the competitive level. To have our kids play indoor competitive at this point would be a disservice to all of us and a waste of money since club indoor soccer is rather expensive. In the spring we will be able to register both teams as entry level teams which is where they should begin. We have good numbers for the Under 7 team but can still use a few players for the Under 12 team. If you know of anyone that might be interested please have them contact me.

Winter Indoor Training

We are offering indoor training this winter at the gym in Monee Elementary School at 25425 Will Center Road in Monee. This is an eight week training session with training scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Players 4 years old to 12 years of age can train on Tuesday or Wednesdays or on both days. The final days for this session will be the week of December 19th. Children should arrive dressed to play soccer wearing flat soled shoes, shorts, shinguards, t shirts and should bring their own soccer ball and water.

The fee for this eight week session is $150 for one day a week training or $250 to train twice a week, we also offer a substantial sibling discount for families registering more than one child. Our goal is to create competitive soccer teams to play this winter at the Bo Jackson indoor facility in Lockport.

We passed out the photo packets fro the Park District this last Saturday. If you were unable to attend, all photo packets and participation medals were returned to the Park District and can be picked up at Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street in Frankfort.

Rescheduled Session

The training that was canceled on Tuesday, August 23rd has been rescheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 31st. There will be a normally scheduled practice on Tuesday, August 30th.

Winter Competitive Indoor Soccer

Depending on the degree of interest shown, we are considering putting together three new competitive teams for the upcoming 2010/2011 Winter Indoor season. These teams will be for those families thinking about having their child play at a higher level than the current park district level.

One co-ed team will consist of players 6, 7 and 8 years old. The next co-ed team will consist of players 9 and 10 years of age. The third co-ed team will be for players 11 and 12 years old. These teams may wind up being strictly boys or girls teams depending on the response.

In order for us to field these teams we are in dire need of gym space for the teams to train at least once a week. If any of you can assist us in securing local gym time please let me know as soon as possible.

There is an urgency about this because the competitive facilities fill up fast and registration is in progress.
